Do countertop card terminals accept contactless?
Yes. As well as accepting credit and debit cards using chip and PIN, all of our card machines accept contactless payments, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
To accept contactless, your customer just needs to tap their card against the machine. Easy!

Countertop card machines operate from a fixed place, so you plug them into your broadband or telephone line.
You’ll also need to plug it into an electrical socket.

*This offer is available to new customers1 of takepayments, a Global Payments company, who enter into an agreement for an eligible takepayments product between 26th November 2025 and 31st December 2025 (inclusive)*. Any amendment or withdrawal will not affect customers who have already entered into a qualifying agreement during the offer period.
This offer and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation is governed by, and will be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Any decision taken by takepayments in connection with this offer shall be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
